Pillar 1 · Focus area 4 of 4

Compounding Value

Assess whether customer value persists or increases over time, supporting continued use and creating legitimate product-level reasons for customers to remain rather than switch.

This focus area belongs to the Coppice Labs Audit for digital-product exit readiness. It sits within Customer Value, Pillar 1 of 5.

Why it matters

Durable market fit is demonstrated when customers continue to receive value and, ideally, the product becomes more valuable or more embedded with continued use through factors such as accumulated data, workflows, integrations, collaboration, learning or operational dependence.

The conclusion we need

Determine whether target customers continue to receive meaningful product value over time, whether that value strengthens or erodes with continued use, and whether any accumulated product-level advantages create durable and legitimate reasons to remain, supported by credible cohort, customer and behavioural evidence.

What we examine

The questions we will answer

  1. What proportion of activated target customers continue to receive meaningful product value at relevant points in their lifecycle?
  2. How does the value customers receive strengthen, persist or weaken with continued use, and what explains the change?
  3. What product-level factors give customers a durable reason to remain rather than switch?
